Privacy Policy

Dan Chipp of Dan Chipp Fitness here! In this updated Privacy Policy, I want to assure you that the data you entrust to me is kept in safe hands. Therefore, I’ve outlined what kind of data I collect and why, as well as what measures I have taken to protect any personal information entrusted to me.

My personal training services rely on being able to contact my clients to arrange consultations and appointments. If you enquire about my services through email, reach out over Facebook, contact me through my website or pay for my services online, I may ask for your full name, email address, phone number and home/billing address. This data you provide is solely used for contacting you to book time slots and inform you of any cancellations or changes. These contact details are stored on my mobile phone and within my email or Facebook inbox. A trusted admin helps manage my Facebook business page but your personal data will not be shared with any other parties. I have taken steps to protect my phone and your data by password protecting my device and installing security apps including Kaspersky Internet Security and Lookout Security & Antivirus. My email inbox is also password protected and requires two factor authentication before logging in. This is also the case when logging into Facebook.

At your initial consultation or your first fitness class with me, I will require you to fill out a variety of forms in which I will ask you for your next of kin’s contact details (including their full name, phone number, email address and home/work address) and for any medical and lifestyle history you are willing to share. These documents are stored in a locked file box in a secure location and are only ever accessed by myself. Your next of kin will only be contacted in the case of an emergency (i.e. if you encounter an injury whilst taking part in a Dan Chipp Fitness service).

It is also important to note that I accept online payments through two third party apps. You can either choose to pay using your Paypal account (whose own privacy policy you can read here) or by using your credit card through Stripe (whose own privacy policy you can read here). Both of these options process payments through their own services. If using PayPal, your PayPal email address and billing address will be shared with me. If using Stripe, your email address, phone number, billing address and the last four digits of your card number will be shared with me. If you decide to pay by card in person, I use iZettle (whose own privacy policy you can read here) which will share the last four digits of your card number with me. In all instances, I will never have access to your full card or payment details.

If you withdraw consent for me to store your personal data, I will clear your contact information from my phone and email contacts and will no longer reach out to you. Please note that this may also result in a cancellation of services.

In the unlikely event of a data breach, I will inform you and, in severe cases, the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours.

If you have any additional questions about how your personal data is stored and used, please email me at
